Open price discovery
Every bid on a lot is visible to the seller, and the rule that picks the winner is published up front. No hidden spreads, no quiet re-grading once the truck is loaded.
Coming soon · In active development
A transparent auction marketplace for agricultural produce, in the workshop at DeltaTech. Farmers list what they've grown, buyers bid in the open, and the winning allocation is decided by a published rule — not a handshake behind the shed.
Core marketplace complete · hardening and pilot onboarding underway
Launching first with a small cohort of growers and buyers.
Every bid on a lot is visible to the seller, and the rule that picks the winner is published up front. No hidden spreads, no quiet re-grading once the truck is loaded.
The allocation engine optimises for what the grower actually takes home — total bid value net of logistics — instead of simply crowning the single loudest offer.
Listing, bidding, winner selection, orders, invoices and two-way ratings all live in one loop, so the trade closes inside the product instead of falling out of it halfway.
The product
Most produce still changes hands at a price the grower learns last. The buyer knows the market, the intermediary knows the margin, and the farmer knows only the number they're handed. AgriAuctioneer inverts that.
A seller lists a lot with quantity, quality and a reserve. Buyers bid openly during a fixed window. When the clock runs out, the platform proposes the allocation that maximises the seller's net revenue — and the seller can accept it or choose differently. Everything after that, from the order to the invoice to the rating, happens in the same place.
Farmers list. Buyers bid. Everyone sees the price.
Sellers see the full bid book on their lot before deciding anything.
Winner selection follows published constraints, applied identically to every auction.
Identity checks and two-way ratings on both sides of the trade.
English, Hindi and Tamil across the whole interface, from listing to invoice.
How it works
From the moment a lot goes up to the moment both sides rate each other, the whole transaction runs on rails the seller can see.
The farmer posts the produce with photos, quantity, unit and packaging, then sets a reserve price, a minimum order quantity and how long bidding stays open.
Verified buyers browse live lots and bid on both quantity and price. Bid status updates as the auction runs, and a countdown shows exactly how long is left.
Bidding shuts automatically at the deadline — no one has to be watching. The bid book is frozen and the allocation engine proposes the best-value split.
The seller confirms or adjusts the winners. Orders are raised, both sides notified, invoices issued, and buyer and seller rate each other on delivery.
What you get
The parts that usually get left to WhatsApp and a paper ledger are inside the product.
Auctions open and close on their own schedule, with countdowns down to the minute. Nobody loses a lot because they were away from a screen at the wrong moment.
The winner isn't just the highest number. The engine maximises the seller's net revenue while respecting each buyer's minimum order quantity and the total lot size.
Take the proposed allocation, or pick winners by hand. Manual choices are validated before anything is committed, so a slip can't oversell the lot.
Document-backed verification, secure sign-in including two-factor and passkeys, and a reviewed onboarding process before anyone can trade.
Winning bids become orders automatically. Both parties are notified by email and SMS, invoices download as PDFs, and completed trades end in a two-way rating.
Three languages, a mobile-first interface that works on a modest phone, and screens built to load in one round trip on a patchy rural connection.
Who it's for
List a harvest, watch real demand arrive, and close at a price you can point to. Track what you sold, what you earned, and who paid on time.
Source directly from verified growers, bid on the exact quantity you need, and keep every order, invoice and delivery record in one trail.
Run a transparent auction floor for your members, with verification, dispute handling, catalogue control and platform-wide reporting built in.
Roadmap
The marketplace works end to end today. What's left is the part you can't rush: proving it with real lots, real money and real growers.
Listings, live auctions, bidding, the allocation engine, orders, invoices and ratings — the full trade loop, working.
Document verification, secure sign-in with two-factor and passkeys, role-based access, and an audit trail behind sensitive actions.
Performance work, field testing on low-end devices and slow connections, and onboarding the first cohort of growers and buyers.
A closed group trading real lots, with hands-on support from the team that built it.
Open registration, wider commodity coverage and regional rollout, once the pilot says the economics hold.
